Military records shows John Bartouch enlisted into the Civil War August 15, 1861, New Madrid, MO. Battles in:-Shiloh, Corinth, Grand Gulf, Port Gibson. Captured at Baker's Creek, Miss., May 16, 1863.
John died 1876 in Mississippi Co, MO.
