Mrs. Edwin (Billie ALMENDA) LARGENT, of 419 Edmonson St., died at her resident at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday.
She was born Oct. 20, 1923, in Morehouse, the daughter of William and Grace WOOLDRIDGE MATHIS. She was employed for many years by theMcKnight-Keaton Grocery Company. She was a member of the First Methodist Church. Her father died in 1948. On Feb. 20, 1959 she was married to: Edwin (Buddy) LARGENT, who survives.
She also leaves her mother: one son, William E. LARGENT, stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Station, Great Lakes, Mich., one daughter, Miss Janis LARGENT of St. Louis; three sisters., Mrs. Harry (EVELYN) BARNETT of Sikeston, Mrs. C.C. (Deloma) SCHAGE of Cape Girardeau and Mrs. Charles (Lucille) FATZISGER of sun Prairie, Wis.
The body will lie in state at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where friends may call until services Friday at 2 p.m. in the First Methodist Church. Dr. Lester McGEE, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery with Nunnelee's in charge of all arrangements.
