MOREHOUSE - Oscar Earnest STROUD, who was injured in a traffic accident nine days ago died in Missouri Delta Community Hospital, at 10 a.m. Monday. He was 60.
Mr. Stroud was born Nov. 22, 1902 near Gray Ridge, son of Sharman and Hattie YATES STROUD now of Idalia, and on Jan.22, 1934 married Miss Ruth JORDAIN, who survives.
Other survivors besides his wife and parents are a son, Earnest Jennins STROUD, Morehouse; four brothers, Ed STROUD, Peoria, Ill.; Archie, Freddie and Ira, all of Idalia; one sister Mrs. Fronie MONROE, Idalia, and three grandchildren.
The body will remain at the family residence until time for services which will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Morehouse Baptist Church. The Rev. Allie SULLIVANT will officiate assisted by the Rev. J. L. Bishop.
Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery at Idalia with Nunnelee Funeral Chapel of Sikeston in charge.
