MOREHOUSE - DWIGHT LOUIS FISHER, 92, died Saturday at Missouri Delta Community Hospital in Sikeston.

Born Jan 2, 1889, near Logansport, Ind., to the late Jane Ann HIMMELBERGER and Samuel A. FISHER, he was graduated from the Purdue University School of Electrical Engineering where he was a member of Tau Beta Pl. Honorary engineerng Fraternity.

He was employed by General Electric Co. of Schenectady, N.Y., and served as assistant district superintendent of Central Illinois Public Service Co. of Carterville, Ill. In June 1914, he came to Missouri, accepting a position with Himmelberger Harrison Lumber Co., a company established by his grandfather, Isaac Himmelberger, in 1880. He held the position of superintendent and vice president in that company until his retirement in 1972.

A 66 year member of Masonic Lodge No. 603 AF&AM of Morehouse, he was a 56 year member of the Scottish rite and Shrines Moolah Temple of St. Louis, a charter member of the board of Missouri Delta Community Hospital.

An active member of the camp development committee for the Southeast Missouri Council of the Boy Scouts of America for over 30 years, he was awarded the Silver Beaver, scouting's highest award.

Surviving are; his wife of 68 years, Grace POWELL FISHER; three daughters, Jane HENDON, Helen CHILDS and Betty MEDBOURN of Morehouse; one son, Roger FISHER o f Lompoc, Calif.; one brother, Glen FISHER of El Paso, Texas; and 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Crew-Welsh Funeral Chapel with Masonic rites scheduled for 7:30 Monday under the direction of Masonic Lodge 603 of Morehouse.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. James DAVIS, pastor of the Rauch Spense Memorial Methodist Church in Morehouse, officiating.

Burial will be at the Logansport, Ind. Fisher Family Mausoleum.
