MOREHOUSE- George Franklin HALE, 77 retired employee of Himmelberger - Harrison Manufacturing Co. for whom he worked 45 years died in Normandy, Mo., nursing home Saturday.
He was born Dec. 6, 1885 in Charleston, son of the late William and Rebecca BARLEY HALE, and spent his childhood in Charleston. He came to Morehouse to live 51 years ago. On August 6, 1904 he married Miss Emma COR NOLEN and eight children were born to the union of whom five survive.
Surviving are four sons, Clarence, Herman and James HALE, all of St. Louis and Frank HALE of Madison, Ill; one daughter, Mrs. Thelma HILL of St. Louis; two brothers, Dallas HALE ANNISTON and Monroe HALE of St Louis; 10 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
The body will lie in state at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home, here, until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday when services will be conducted in the Wtkins Chapel. Rev. A. C. Sullivant will officiate and interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Charleston, with Watkins and Sons in Charge of all arrangements.
