Morehouse - Dulcia PROCTOR SHELL, age 73, died at her home in Dexter Friday. She was born in Nobal, Ill., on Oct. 27, 1889, daughter of the late Charles and Hester JOHNSON, spent her childhood in Illinois, moved to Morehouse in 1913, where she resided until four years ago when she moved to Dexter.
In 1907 she was married to Claude PROCTOR, who preceded her in death in 1942. Two children were born to this union. On April 17, 1959 she married to Elmer SHELL of Dexter, who survives. Also surviving are, one son, Woodrow PROCTOR of Morehouse; one daughter, Mrs. Fay GRAHAM of Greenville, Tenn; two stepchildren. Glen SHELL and Mrs Vester VANBIBBER, both of Dexter; one grandson, four great grandsons; four brothers, Charies GADDIS of Piggott., Ark Rannel JOHNSON of Tulsa, Okla., Raymond JOHNSON of Lawton, Olka., Dennis JOHNSON, address unknown, and one sister, Mrs. Bertha CARLEW.
The body will lie in state at the Watkins and Son Funeral Home, with services to be held at 2;30 p.m. at the Morehuse Methodist Church, with the Rev. James GRAHAM of Dexter officiation.
Burial will be in Memorial Park in Sikeston.
