Sikeston - Mrs. Ollie Lee SMITHPETERS, 70 years old wife of James Carol SMITHPETERS and a resident of Morehouse died at 1:30 a.m. today at a local hospital where she had been a patient since Sunday.
Mrs. SMITHPETERS was born Oct 4, 1887 in Arkansas the daughter of Wesley and Mary EVANS FRANCIS. She was a member of the Morehouse Pentecostal Church.
In addition to the husband, she is survived by six daughters Mrs. Clara STURGEON of Long Beach Calif. Mrs. Gladys HEIM of Hayti, Mrs. Cora C. NEWTON of Morehouse, Mrs. Lucille CARRINGTON of Garden City, Mich., Mrs. Dolly FARRIS of Detroit, Mich. and Mrs. Nettie BENFORD of St. Louis, two sons, James R. SMITHPEPPERS of Barden City, Mich., and David SMITH of Melvindale, Mich., six brothers Larkin FRANCIS of Pico, Calif, Gus FRANCIS of Burrdon, Ark, John Thomas and Austin FRANCIS, all of Paris Tenn. 21 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
