MOREHOUSE One of this city's oldest citizen, James T. YAGER, 98, died at his home here at 5:12 a.m. Monday. From 1915 to 1939 he was editor - publisher of the MOREHOUSE MESSENGER. He sold the paper to HARRY BURGESS, who returned it to the MOREHOUSE HUSTLER.

Mr. YAGER then printed THE PENTECOSTAL TALKS, suppported by the church and donations, until seven years ago.

He was born APRIL 8, 1865, NEAR MOBILE, ALA., AND ON FEB. 17, 1897 married the former Miss VIOLA SHAFFER of Texarkana, Ark., who preceded him in death in 1938. On April 21, 1940, he married the former Miss VERNER MARLOW of Hopkinsville, Ky., who survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. BERTHA FAGAN of Flint, Mich., and a son, EDDIE YAGER of Tracy, California; ten grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

The body will be removed from the Welsh Funeral Home in Sikeston at 9 a.m. Wednesday to the Methodisht Church of Morehouse where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. The REV. CHARLES CARR, pastor, will officiate assisted by the REV. E. J. KERR.

Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Essex.
