Comments:
I am researching my second cousin's PEREDOE family.

In 1880 there was an Antwine Perriydo (Antoine Peredoe)age 60 in the East township of New Madrid County. He has a son named Joseph who is 10 years old. I believe these are my cousin's ancestors. I don't know who Joseph's mother was, as there is no wife in the 1880 census. In 1870 census of Ste. Genevieve County, Punjab township, there is Antoine PERIDEAU age 50, who I believe is the same person. I think his wife is the female Sarah, but her age is not legible.

There is also a Joseph PERODEAU JR. and SR. in the book THE SPANISH REGIME IN MISSOURI. This "census" was done on April 30, 1791 and indicates that the family came from Post Vincennes (now Indiana). I do not know how or if this family is connected to my cousin's, but I bet they are.

Is anyone working on this surname? Please help! Thanks!
